Katie founded CPA Growth Guides after a decades-long in-house marketing career where she established the marketing function at Rea before moving on to be a principal at SS&G and then a regional director at BDO. She has developed highly successful programs notable for innovation, data-driven marketing strategies and measurable success in moving firms forward.
Today, she works as a consultant and outsourced chief growth officer, helping firms connect the dots between strategy and action to generate a positive ROI across marketing, business development, innovation and client experience. She is also co-founder of Rally Rounds, which brings peer-powered advisory and problem solving to accounting firm leaders, and XcelLabs, where she is helping build new approaches to developing the people, skills and technology firms need for an AI-first profession.
An award-winning marketer, Katie is a former Accounting Marketer of the Year and was named one of Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Public Accounting as well as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting. She was inducted into the Accounting Marketing Hall of Fame, is a former president of the Association for Accounting Marketing and is a contributing author to Bull’s-Eye! The Ultimate How-To Marketing & Sales Guide for CPAs, as well as numerous accounting blogs and publications.
